A note from the editor...
When I first started running some years ago, I was inspired by how quickly I managed to lose weight and improve my stamina. I began to feel quite pleased with myself, and I wanted to improve further. So I picked up one of the running titles and immediately felt deflated. Maybe it wasn’t their intention, but I felt that the other running magazines were aimed at the more serious, elite runner and I didn’t feel part of their club. After all, I was just a normal, curvy woman who happened to enjoy running. I wasn’t fit enough to read the running titles in my view, and despite being a keen runner for more than a decade, I never purchased another running magazine again.
So when the concept for Women’s Running was first developed, I immediately identified with the aim of creating a friendly and accessible tone that would appeal to women of all abilities. The magazine strives to be inclusive and supportive to women who are thinking about taking up running, those who have just started and those who run regularly. Whatever your level of stamina and fitness, Women’s Running aims to inspire and motivate. Our expert writers, all of whom are keen runners themselves, provide the most up-to-date and well-researched information in the friendliest possible way.
If you want to feel part of our running community, subscribe to Women’s Running and we’ll help you embark on and improve your running journey.
